Head of Jakarta Water Management Department, Tri Djoko Sri Margianto acknowledged the stagnated dredging work of Marunda Dam at RW 02, Marunda, Cilincing, North Jakarta is not because of land acquisition problem.

Margianto furthered, the land acquisition along the dam as wide as 56 hectares is still progressing until now. The cause of stagnated dredging work is because several equipments were directed to dredge other water channels.

“ We’ve a priority. Our priority now is to dredge channels to prevent flooding during rainy season ,” Tuesday (10/6).

According to him, the dredging work will be continued after whole channels finish dredged. At once await dam pump house design finish next year.

“Because merely one dam cannot handle flooding there. The pump house is still being projected,” he uttered.
